Father Barrett became “Granddaddy” to Ethanie Rose was born to Katrina, his daughter, and her husband James Copp.

Father Barrett was invited to speak at St. Peter & St. Paul Men’s Retreat.  Many were in attendance as they instructed with biblical guidelines regarding “Being Spiritually Fit – Spiritually Trained.

 

August 22, 2008

Father Barrett had the opportunity to speak at the CANA convention on behalf of the Deanery for the Chaplaincy for the Convocation of Anglicans in North America.  He presented an outline of what being a Chaplain involves encouraging others to be involved.

Father Barrett became “Granddaddy” to Dillon Alexandar was born to Kristin, his daughter, and her husband Barton Gamble.

 

August 2007

Father Barrett received canonical residence as a priest with CANA (Convocation of Anglicans in North America) which is under the direction of Bishop Martyn Minns. CANA is a missionary diocese of the Church of Nigera (Anglican Communion) of which the Most Rev'd Peter J. Akinola is Primate.

Father Barrett assisted with a Diaconate Ordination in the Diocese of St. Paul The Apostle.

Father Barrett had opportunity to speak for Servanthood Ministries in New Boston, Texas.

Father Barrett became “Granddaddy” to James Dawson was born to Katrina, his daughter, and her husband James Copp.

 

November 5, 2006

Father Barrett spent this Sunday afternoon speaking with the Catholic Diocese of Ft. Worth regarding volunteer work for the Tarrant County jails. 

 

October 19, 2006

Father Barrett received a Board Certification as an Expert in Traumatic Stress from the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. He is also a Diplomat of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress.

 

August 21, 2006

Father Barrett was accepted as a member of the American Anglican Council.

 

April 14, 2006

Father Barrett participated in the Good Friday Services held at King of Glory Fellowship in Richardson, TX. The last seven statements of Christ were the topics for this service. Father Barrett delivered a meditation on Christ’s statement “Father, Into Your Hands I Commit My Spirit”.

 

March 3 - 4, 2006

The Anglican Province of Christ the Good Shepherd House of Bishop Meeting was held in Richardson, TX. As Chancellor, Father Barrett assisted the Archbishop in preparation for this meeting with the Bishops.

 

March 5 - 8, 2006

Father Barrett attended the International Conference of Police Chaplains Regional Training Seminar in Round, TX and had opportunity to teach a class on Chaplaincy Stress Management. 

 

January 21, 2006

Father Barrett performed the wedding ceremony for his goddaughter, Melissa Finley and Scott Reddin in Texarkana, Texas.

 

November 10 - 12, 2005

Father Barrett traveled to Pittsburg, PA to attend the North American Anglican Hope and A Future Conference. The excitement of a unified spirit was present. 

 

August 20, 2005

Father Barrett became “Granddaddy” once again. Brendan Copp was born to Katrina, his daughter, and her husband James Copp.

 

July 18, 2005

Father Barrett took on a new assignment for his life as a “Granddaddy”. Camden Barrett Gamble was born to Kristin, his daughter, and her husband Barton Gamble.

 

July 2005

At the Synod of The Province of Christ The Good Shepherd held in Dallas June 9 -11, 2005, His Grace, The Most Rev. Mark Camp, newly elected Archbishop of the Province, in conjunction with the House of Bishops appointed Father David Barrett Chancellor for the Province.

 

As Chancellor, Father David will act as the chief administrative assistant to the Archbishop as well as advise the Archbishop and House of Bishops on canon and civil law. His duties will commence July 1, 2005.

 

March 19, 2005 

Father Barrett taught at the leadership conference for Servanthood Ministries in Irving, Texas. Leaders from various areas gathered for this conference to study leadership concepts from The Psalms.

 

March 2005

Father David Barrett was made Archdeacon to the Diocese of St. Paul The Apostle. The Diocese of St. Paul The Apostle is under jurisdiction of His Grace Archbishop Mark Camp and the Anglican Province of Christ The Good Shepherd. Our congratulations go to Father David on this assignment.
